This week we give you some tips on how to go about parenting your children. Or, barring you actually being a parent at this time of your life, some tips to prepare you for being a parent. We're talking to ourselves here too, and most of these tips come from our own observations of parenting and of being parented. In the process, we also end up talking about cats for some reason.
This week we talk about law and order! No, not the TV show (or rather, the numerous TV shows in the franchise), but rather various topics having to do with government and laws and how we deal with them as Christians and artists. We start by going through some of the silliest and weirdest laws that exist in the United States, then talk about the laws of the Israelites, the role of governments in God's plan, capital punishment in America, and end up talking quite a bit about random story ideas and government and laws in the context of fiction. Enjoy!
This week we have a condensed episode, but one with all the works! We do a review on a song and the artist that made it, talk about role-playing games and the consumer response to your art, and give you advice on character vs. plot...all in under thirty minutes. It's our best shortest episode yet.
This week Caleb is ashamed. For he did not check the settings on the recording program before the start of the episode despite a history of audio problems caused by not checking the settings before the start of an episode. And so this week, you have an unedited episode recorded with a laptop microphone. We apologize profusely. But, because we liked the episode so much, we didn't want to scrap it completely, so we decided to release it anyway. We really like what we talk about, and we hope you do too.
This week, the Powers brothers review two songs about the new year, one from an optimistic point of view and the other from a more pessimistic one. On our roster is Sleeping At Last's "January White" and Emery's "Cutthroat Collapse". We hope you enjoy the songs, our reviews, and this new season of the podcast. Happy New Year!
