Today on the podcast, Caleb interviews Anthony "AJ" Weisensel, a good friend of the podcast and a Christian artist in his own right, on his graphic design work and the ways he uses his talent to honor Christ. The questions he asks AJ are written out below, but you'll have to listen to the episode to get the answers: How do you maintain integrity as an artist while still remaining relevant to the culture? What are ways that you personally experience other visual art? Do you know of any examples of visual art in the Bible that you can share? Can you elaborate on some of your own personal moral boundaries with visual art? What are some of your favorite mediums to cross-over with visual art? Who is your favorite character in the Bible and how do you relate to him? As a graphic designer, what are some things you notice/like about film? What are your plans for the future, specifically in your career and work with graphic design? We also answer some more general listener questions about anything and everything, and the during the course of that, we reference James 1:14-15. LINKS:Podcast Website YouTube ...
This week we review the hip-hop/alternative artist NF and two of his songs: Mansion and Therapy Session. We dig into the lyrics and the music and talk about what we like and don't like. But I'm sure y'all know the drill. Enjoy! LINKS:Podcast Website YouTubeTwitch ChannelPatreon CampaignCaleb's WebsiteDiscord ...
This week we talk about law and order! No, not the TV show (or rather, the numerous TV shows in the franchise), but rather various topics having to do with government and laws and how we deal with them as Christians and artists. We start by going through some of the silliest and weirdest laws that exist in the United States, then talk about the laws of the Israelites, the role of governments in God's plan, capital punishment in America, and end up talking quite a bit about random story ideas and government and laws in the context of fiction. Enjoy! I know I always say I'll put things in the liner notes and then never do... I apologize. But Google is your friend, I promise. And this episode is going up late because we recorded late and I didn't edit anything. LINKS:Podcast Website YouTubeTwitch ChannelPatreon CampaignCaleb's WebsiteDiscord ...
